
Headed goals from Jean Makoun and Diogo helped defending champion Olympiakos beat Panionios 2-0 in the Greek league on Sunday.
The home win ensured Olympiakos remains two points behind leader Panathinaikos with eight rounds remaining.
The Thessaloniki derby between PAOK and Aris ended goalless although the home team struck the woodwork twice.
In other games Sunday,Asteras Tripolis (1-0 at Xanthi), Levadiakos won 2-0 at Panaitolikos, Atromitos won 2-1 at Giannena and Kerkyra beat last-place Drama 3-1.
Asteras has soared to the seventh spot and Levadiakos has climbed out of the relegation zone for the first time this season, spelling trouble for out-of-form Panetolikos.
On Saturday Panathinaikos scored a routine 2-0 victory at Ergotelis. Simao Mate Junior opened the scoring for the visitors in the 55th minute, while substitute Charalampos Mavrias made sure of the points when he added a second four minutes later.
There will also be no action in the coming weekend as the Super League protests a new sports law.
